Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Syria's transitional government Ahmed al -Sharia to Ankara at the current historical milestone, saying that she had agreed to meet issues that could change the future of the region.
Erdogan added that she had discussed very sensitive issues with the Syrian Transitional Government, according to IRNA.
Ahmad al -Sharah, nicknamed Abu Muhammad al -Julani, met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday at the Presidential Palace in Ankara behind closed doors.
Erdogan said in a joint press conference with Syrian Transitional Government Abu Muhammad al -Julani: "Turkey -Syria's unity and cooperation will help the security of the region and will empty it from terrorism."
The Turkish president said in a statement that Ahmad al -Sharah's visit to Ankara was the beginning of the cooperation and development of relations between the two countries and emphasized: "With the help of all Turkish institutions, we are trying to improve relations with Syria to a strategic level."
Erdogan added: "We emphasize respect for the Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity, and we are always ready to support its new sovereignty in the fight against terrorist groups."
The Turkish president said: "We believe that the new Syrian government will have good relations with all the Syrians, and al -Sharah has emphasized Syria's will in the fight against terrorism."
Erdogan added: "Western sanctions are an obstacle to Syria's flourishing and we are working to cancel them."
