The three -rate gasoline rate confirmed? The Deputy Minister of Petroleum gave a definitive answer.
With the cancellation of a three -rate gasoline plan, speculation has declined to implement a similar plan for gasoline prices. These changes can have significant impacts on the fuel market.

Following the announcement of a three -rate gasoline plan since the summer, some analysts saw the decision as a prelude to measuring reactions and setting up a similar plan for gasoline. But now, with the government's withdrawal from the implementation of the plan and its official announcement, the question is: Has the rise in gas prices been eliminated in year 6?
According to the Cabinet's decision, all the truckers' fuel needs will be met at the current rate, and the monthly reduction in the basic quota has been stopped for now. There are also consultations in the field of insurance and retirement of drivers. The set of measures shows that the three -rate gasoline plan will not be implemented yet.
Prior to the announcement, the initial approval of the three -rate gasoline plan led to speculation about gas prices again. In recent months, the National Petroleum Products Distribution Company has repeatedly stated that there is no plan for three gasoline rates. The deputy oil minister also emphasized on May 1, "There is no option for three rates for gasoline prices on the table."
The fourteenth head of state, Massoud Medical, has earlier stated that people will not be surprised at rising gas prices and that any possible change in gasoline rates will be made public before implementation.
The three -rate model means fuel supply at three levels of price (subsidies, semi -free and free) for consumption management and targeted subsidies. In recent years, some analysts have proposed the model to eliminate part of gasoline in the country, which of course has opposition.
The price of gasoline in Iran has not changed since November and is still offered at two subsidized rates (1 USD) and free (2 USD). During this time, fuel consumption has grown and the domestic price gap with world rates has increased.
