Discover Billion dollar gas reserves in the Black Sea!
Erdogan: We discovered $ 5 billion in gas reserves in the Black Sea.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reported on Saturday the discovery of a gas field in the Black Sea with reserves reserved to 2 billion cubic meters.
Erdogan said in a speech in Istanbul: "At the Goktepe Square, after 5 days of drilling and testing, we received good news yesterday: we discovered gas reserves reaching 2 billion cubic meters."
"This is enough to supply electricity for our residential apartments (throughout Turkey) for 1.5 years, and the value of these reserves is estimated at approximately $ 5 billion," Erdogan continued.
The Turkish president added that the Black Sea gas fields are currently supplying 6 million units of apartments with 1.5 billion cubic meters, and there are plans to quadruple this figure by year 2.
"We will continue our process to achieve our goal, which is Turkey's full independence in terms of energy," she continued.
In recent years, Türkiye has announced the discovery of a large gas field in the Black Sea, which is estimated at 2 billion cubic meters.
Domestic gas production currently covers approximately 5 % to 5 % of Turkish natural gas needs, which is a key step towards energy independence and its dependence on imports.
Turkey has also taken successive steps to guarantee its future energy, and two major liquefied natural gas contracts have been signed this month, which further enhances Türkiye's demands to become a regional energy pole.
