🔶 what we will read

On May 5, a heartbreaking incident occurred at the Lapu Lapu Day Street Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia, in which a man named Kai-Ji Adam Lu attacked the crowd in the festival with his long chassis. The attack killed four people and injured dozens.

The Lapu Lapu Day Festival, held to commemorate the Filipino culture, was one of the major events of the Filipino community in Vancouver, and usually attended a large crowd. Car attacks quickly became one of Canada's most deadly events.
Kai-Ji Adam Lu, a 5-year-old, was arrested on charges of eight second-rate murder and other charges associated with the incident. He appeared in court in court on Friday, May 9, and then decided to be psychologically evaluated to determine if he was psychologically able to stand in court.

The attack has strongly affected the Filipino community, and many people in Vancouver and British Colombia are mourning the disaster.

Following the incident, the British Colombian government declared a day as a public mourning day and the flags were semi -nuclear throughout the province.

A commemoration ceremony for the victims was held at Vancouver's Holly Rosary Church in which Arbishop Michael Miller and local officials gave a speech. The Prime Minister of British Columbia, David Ebie, also attended the ceremony and spoke about the solidarity of the province's people with the Filipino community.

The attack not only caused severe damage to the Filipino community in Canada, but also raised serious concerns about public security and mental health.

The investigation and the judicial process will continue and the accused's psychological evaluation will be carried out in the coming days.
